Admission process
We aim to make admissions clear, supportive and child-centred. Admissions are considered throughout the year, subject to places being available. The process helps us to understand your child’s strengths, needs and the support required to ensure a successful start.

Admission criteria
Ysgol Bethania is an independent primary school for children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). We consider applications where a specialist, nurturing environment and a highly personalised curriculum will support a child to make progress from their starting point. Admissions are based on individual need, the suitability of our provision and the availability of a place.
- Your child is of primary school age.
- Your child has identified Additional Learning Needs and would benefit from small class sizes and high levels of support.
- We can reasonably meet your child’s learning, communication, wellbeing and safety needs within our staffing and facilities.
- Placement is compatible with the needs of current pupils, ensuring a safe, calm and effective learning environment for all.
- Required documentation and information can be provided to support planning (for example professional reports and ALN documentation).
We welcome enquiries from all families and consider each application fairly, in line with our safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to inclusion. If you would like to discuss whether Ysgol Bethania is the right setting for your child, please contact us via the Enquire & Apply page. Enquire & Apply
